Where should I buy a motion detector?

Jack Graham asked:

I am looking to buy a motion detector to turn on LED lights on my staircase.
I have done some research and I mostly found expensive ones that are already connected to lights, are bulky or are made for outdoors. I also want it to be able to hookup to multiple LED lights.

I don’t care if it is battery powered or not, I can do some wiring.

Thanks

i would suggest Ebay or Amazon too or other sites like these if not go to a local store which will sell these and ask the staff where is the cheapest place to get these from.

Home depot in the light switch dept. has motion detector switches that are made for indoors and LED lights and replace a normal light switch. VERY NICE LOOKING. All motion or Some with timers to set for how long they are to stay on after the movement. some with switch to turn on and then turn off them self after they don’t see you anymore. and so on. Look for the LED and how many watts on the package. Add up watts of bulbs you are using total. Good luck. Todd
