what could i do to add more security to my car?

Chris asked:

i have a mustang with a lot of valuable stuff inside [LCD flip-down screen, loud expensive sound system, touchscreen in-dash, and a ps2] and not to mention its sitting on 20” chrome rims.
last night my mom’s truck got broken into and i don’t want anyone to even THINK of doing the same to my car.
i currently have an astra 2-way pager alarm but want to know if i should add like some sort of sensors to warn people when they get too close or something like that.
or should i just go to like autozone and get a car cover and just use that.
any advice/ideas?

Get a loud alarm system. And a self destruct button.

you can install a kill switch on it anywhere that it has a ignition feed wire from the dash, even if someone popped the ignition on it ,it still wouldn’t start ,so no one could steal it,as for stopping vandals a good alarm system will scare them off,but usually not before they do some damage to it,good luck on it.

    security system sensor

If there’s an intention to break into your car, there’s no security systems in the world that can stop them from doing it.

Most you will only make their life miserable but they will still achieve what they planned for.

The largest majority of people ignore an alarm that is sounding—and good thieves can get what they want in a minute or two–regardless of a warning—and cops are going to be too long when they get the call-dispatch it and actually respond–so park in a lit area, hide what you can and good luck
