Security systems for our backyard?

someone tried to break in our backyard. we have a fence with barbed wire on top but they were able to unhinge the fence part and come in and try the window.
Are there any motion sensor lights that work off battery? (we dont have a plug back there)

A motion sensor will make you safe?
In Mexico they have bars on all the doors and windows and the thieves STILL steal everyone blind unless someone is home. I’ve even seen them STEAL the bars and windows to sell!
You are not safe unless you have other people to protect you. Neighbors, roomates, family, police, whatever.

dude. get an alarm system. if you live in a house you can get any one. if you live in an apartment, i think protection 1 does apartments. if not.. call around – there are several alarm systems that will do apartments.
Or, get a big dog.
I would never live anywhere w/o either..
