In The Sims 2 (Nightlife or later), can anything bad happen to a sim’s car?

I noticed an “install alarm” feature on all the cars when I installed Nightlife. I was just wondering if burglars take cars, or if anything else can happen to cars on The Sims 2.

Also, do Sim cars ever break down? Like do you ever have to tell your sim to call the repairman to fix the car?

ya i think a burglar can just go into your car and drive off it an alarm isnt installed. but if you do install an alarm when a burgler tries to drive off with your car he/she will be caught,
and no the cars never break down lol. atleast i dont think so?

I have never had anything happen to a car but I get the alarm anyway. Better safe than sorry.

The only thing that could happen is the car getting stolen by a burglar. Nothing else will happen, no break downs, nothing.
