Hampton Bay motion detector light won’t go completely off?
Jeff C asked:
After it shuts down, the bulb still has enough electricity flowing to make the filament barely glow. Almost unnoticeable.

Too much voltage? Defective unit?
The unit won’t completely shut off the electricity to the bulb. There is still a current “leaking,” but just barely enough to make the filament glow slightly.

the actual sensor is the problem. you may have something stuck to the sensor or a smudge it detects as movement. if not it is just time to replace

it’s defective. local hard ware stores carry replacement motion sensors.sometimes it’s cheeper to replace the whole light.
