Can you shunt a motion detector on an ADT system (for a business)?

My office does a lot of decorating for Halloween. I have hung up some of those plastic wall coverings and I will have things hanging from the ceiling too. We have a motion detector here – so I don’t want a false alarm triggered at 3am because something moved. Is there anyway to turn off that detector? Thanks!

You should be able to bypass that zone. ADT has many systems but the one brand that ADT uses the most is Ademco they make the vista 10, 20 and Safewatch 3000. To bypass a zone on those system you just enter your 4 digit code the number 6 (for bypass) and the zone number. If you don’t know your zone number you may need to call ADT at 1-800-238-2727 (ADT-ASAP) Op 1, then 2, then 1. Most of the main system manuals are on the web at ADT site too.
