Having owned two 4th gen. f-bodies, 1st a ’98 (M6)TransAm and now an ’02 (A4) Camaro Z28. I’ve never ran into this situation w/ either one of ‘em. Usually if, they won’t crank it’s b’cuz the battery is/was dead.
Try unpluggin the battery and leavin it unplugged few a few mins. and see if, that reset any thing to help you out. I know this will reset the codes in the ‘puter(and lose the radio memory). But if, it’ll help you out w/ your problem is another issue.
Check out LS1 tech @ and do a search over there over security system issue. See if, you can find something that will help you out.
